Patriotism

What really is patriotism? Is it just the rush that soldiers get when they are running through the battlefield fighting for our country? No that is not only what patriotism is it can be even just being a good citizen and many people don’t even realize when they’re being patriotic. Patriotism is anything that is respectful or caring to our country. If patriotism did not exist anymore there would be no war no people fighting for our country and people would not be respectful anymore. People would be fighting on the streets and there would be no peace. Yes patriotism still matters because the families in this country and the ones fighting for it still care.

Although there would be no peace there is now because there are many people being patriotic and risking their lives fighting to make our country and other countries be in peace. These soldiers are fighting not because they have to because they want to keep this country safe. If patriotism didn’t matter there would not be millions of people fighting for our country. When the day comes that patriotism doesn’t matter it will be a sad time and everything will seem lost.

Being patriotic is not only the troops fighting for our country. It can be the love of your country or being a good citizen. Being a good citizen is just as patriotic as fighting for our country and there are many good citizens so patriotism still matters. Patriotism is something that most people don’t even know there doing when they’re being patriotic. Lots of people are devoted to sports and that is considered patriotism so many people are patriotic.

Patriotism is an everyday thing. In fact a lot of people are patriotic and they don’t even know it. Being patriotic is being a good citizen or being devoted to something. If patriotism did not matter anymore there would be no good citizens no one would be devoted to things even like sports and there would be soldiers fighting for our country.
